Kind of neat Concorso video + some cleanup impressions

Hey guys - just thought I'd post this. I did a review of Concorso elsewhere but I thought you guys might appreciate this since I actually took a video. Anyway, there's been a lot of talk about some of the more expensive waxes lately - I'm not trying to start any arguments or a "this is better than this" sort of post, just some experience I've had with Swissvax Concorso.

So anyway, I got this stuff about 9 weeks ago. I applied it to this Ford GT 5 weeks ago and washed the GT today. This was the first really dirty car I've washed with Concorso on it. I already knew it cleaned up well from my car and others, but like I said, the GT was actually really pretty filthy. 5 weeks, no washes, dirt roads, 1000km.. lots of bugs, road grime, some tar etc. So I was excited to see how Concorso held up, and how easy it'd be to wash the car. Let's just say I was impressed. I started by hosing the car down, and two things jumped out at me; first, a lot of the grime came right off and second the water was sheeting incredibly on a car we would all consider "dirty". I was so impressed I actually took a vid and uploaded it, and I am lazy!

I washed the car with P21S auto bath then dried - drying was very easy which I've come to expect with Concorso. I took these pics after about 3 minutes of drying, nothing else. 5 weeks, dirty car, 20 minute wash...

Anyway, I posted this because I am starting to really appreciate LSPs that "clean up" well. I just thought this was a pretty impressive showing.

PIcus,

Sorry to change the subject, but I love your 3 series coupe. Very nice,...oh yea, and the GT looks niice too.

that water just slide right off as if you were actually flooding it. yes your car looks awesome too. hahaha.

D@mnit Kevin....you are tempting me to try concorso! I have tried Scuderia but never have been able to follow up with the clients car.

Hey Philip - I got it as a sample from an Autopia member, he was nice enough to fill a 4oz container for me. I do like it better than Concorso, but enough to buy it myself? I don't know. Concorso is at a good price point (imo), and Mystery is a bit $$$. I don't know that Mystery is "better enough" to justify the price. I need to spend more time with it and clean a car that has it as the primary LSP. As you can tell from this post Concorso has impressed my bigtime.

Yes I see that as for Mystery I might start using it on some higher end customers cars, i haven't use it myself yet so I wanted to see what you thought.

I have a Carrera GT to do and its red so I was thinking why not start with that. :)

Ya, give it a go. It's deeper than Concorso but also harder to use. I really want to re-clean a car with Mystery on it to get a feel for it's durability.
