Kind of an odd question

I have been using 3M's Performance Finish on my cars and forgot to use a respirator a few of the times, once in an enclosed area, but I was wondering if it's really THAT harmful to do without the proper breathing equipment. Anybody in here have a take on it? Thanks a bunch.

I never work in a totally enclosed area. I'm either outdoors, or in a garage using ventialtion, if nothing more than a fan.

IMO anytime you are dealing with excessive dust particles it is worth taking precautions. What precautions taken are up to you if you are the owner/operator. If you are an employee, you can check OSHA guidelines.

I have just been doing it on my own free time, not with an employer. Typically I do work with the garage door open and with a fan, but just the once was without a fan, however the garage doors were cracked about 6 inches. Think there's anything to worry about from just these few times?

Thanks

Pretty good advice.

I think the fact that you're alive and kickin' and that you have not brought up any respiratory related problems points to the fact that you'll be okay. :D

I've felt a little light headed more than a few times after a long buffing session....I just hate wearing a mask.
