Well I think I'm going to need a rotary. I polished out the front of the car with the Flex and did not touch the swirls. Its terrible. The car has been resprayed because there was no paint transfer, unless back in the 60's they were already using clear. If the car was resprayed they might have cleared right over the scratches. I took some pics of the scratches and don't really think there is anything I could do other than wetsanding to tell you the truth, not sure though. Anyway here are the pics

ooo wow those are some nasty scratches. it looks like you did a good job at taking oxidation off, though - what part of houston are you from?
 
Yeah I think I'm just going to take out the oxidation through out the rest of the vehicle and just leave it like that till I paint it later on.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting to remove the scratches, I had already polished out the roof and noticed how bad they were. I had been lying in bed all week cause of back problems and came Friday I had to do something so went out to the garage and started working atleast to make it look decent.
