I have done the deed and bought the Sonus-PC deal here at Autopia and am looking forward to the work and finish that can be produced with it. I have wondered though about particulates getting under the pads while working outdoors. It seems to me that the quest to end the dreaded "swirl, spiderweb dust scratch"nightmare there would have to be some consideration of these potential little pests falling onto the surface of the work during the operation of the machine. Do the foam pads move or some how "soak" up the "stuff" that just happens to get in the path of the PC? I know the detailing world isn't a perfect one, but after the claying, polishing sealing and waxing, those little fine silky lines that we just tried to eliminate would make one have a bad day. Those of us that detail outdoors are there any special condiserations

If you just washed the car you can just dust each panel with a MF before polishing it. Or if your really anal, QD it first.

If you want you can QD each section of the car before you PC, but I have not really found it to be that big of a deal. I think the product/pad pick up most of what is on the surface (hense the reason for the pads getting dirty).

Unless you have a wind blowing sand and debris on you, I don't think it's much of an issue.
