Just tested my new pads and polish......confused here

Well I got home from work and my package of pads, Menzerna IP and FPII came in. Got right to work lol. I choose a spot that I wanted to work on and I washed it, clayed it, IP with orange pad, FPII with white pad, then #16 by hand. It does look better but it seems like theres more room for improvement. I worked the IP in a bit but when I went to whipe it down it streaked so I guess I need to work it longer with more pressure? Same thing with the FPII. I just used the weight of the PC. #16 I put on very thin and came off with ease. Used a flash light to compare the hood and part of fender that I did and there isnt much difference except most of the little spiderweb scratches are gone but even the little ones that I thought would be gone are not. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I dont know. What ya'l think?
 
Did you wash the vehicle with a wash and wax soap?



What was the setting on the PC or High speed?



What product was on the vehicle before you applied the cleaner and polish? Could be still there



I always clean my vehicles with a 50/50 mix of alcohol and distilled water. to ensure ALL the previous product is gone. Hope that helps. GOOD LUCK
 
On there before was mothers carnauba wax and I washed the area that I used the product on. I'll try the alcohol/water thing.
