WOW, these are awesome machines. The lines are sooooo smooth, its was really sexy looking up close. The new style is definitly growing on me. I was stoked to even get to see one. Bolted out of my room so fast to catch the owner before he drove off. Sorry the lighting was so bad, snapped off a few as quick as I could....Enjoy the pics!

Few facts: 400 hp, Z51 Susp package, heads up display, not sure what color it is, but its discontinued now.....!

Hot lines....Didn't get the best reviews from over seas (Top Gear), but then again, no American ever does :)

I like the color but the auto absolutely ruins the whole car!

A SPORTS CAR SHOULD ALWAYS BE STICK!

They each have their advantages. Try and outlaunch a stall'd auto in a 6 speed.

To each his own. :)

I've been in 2 C6s now and they are quite nice. Still not a big fan of the back end, but I'm sure it'll grow on me.

I'll be detailing a couple of them within the next month or so.

I drove one, it's pretty awesome. Power and grip like nothing else you could imagine. The C5 was a greast car; this is an order of magnitude better.

Agreed! I regularly wasted manual with my Chevelle's turbo-hydro 350 (seriously upgraded!) and 4000 stall converter.

As much as I enjoyed the manuals in my 1974 Z/28 and both of the Celicas I owned, with the traffic around here, 90% of the time, a stick is a real chore. Weekend car that doesn't see the strip, definitely would want a stick though.

Back on topic--I really like the new C6s. It looks like the interior has lost a lot of its 'cheapness' and looks more upscale and you can't argue with 400 emissions legal, no gas guzzler tax horsepower.

Great pics! This is the best Vette ever it seems...I hope to drive one soon. I like the styling a lot and it seems the interior is improving.

:xyxthumbs

Guy I know dropped a full second off his 1/4 mile times by converting to a stalled TH400 from a T-56 6-speed....12.7 to 11.7. He did lose 1mph off of his trap speed, but it is quite an amazing improvement in ET, especially if he lost MPH from more horsepower being eaten up through the drivetrain.

Anyways, on with the thread..... :)

auto trans are also great in stop-n-go traffic. or steep hills. :p

that's awesome the owner let you check out his/her C6. the interior looks nicer now. funny, these pictures make the C6 look way better than the magazine ones. and that is one phat rear! :D

Owner was super cool, I was flirting shamelessy with his daughter LOL. I offered to detail it for him, but he is in the thousand oaks area. Anybody want to do it, Ill be sure to refer you, along with this site and properautocare etc. He started talkin zaino, so I HAD to jump in! Zaino is awesome for protection, but its a garage queen and I really think it deserves some carnauba action...

..actually top gear was 50/50..

They didn't like the quality or the style but liked the handeling and power..

Hey BlueRanger, do you live in the Cerro Vista apartments? What major are you?

I didn't know anyone else from Cal Poly was on this forum.

We should have a detailing meet
