Just received my PC today, have a quick question?

Hey everyone,

I just got my PC in today from the Autopia Store! I cant wait to use it. Anyways I plugged it about 10 seconds after opening package to check it out. It seems the pad turns in one rotating motion like a rotary? Is this because no pressure is being applied? Will it become "dual action" after pressure is applied to the pad? Thanks guys, I know this is a complete newb question, but i wanna make sure its not defective before i go and start burning clearcoats.

You can check out the motion by spinning it and doing the orbital motion with your hand. Its just hard to see because its moving so fast when its on.
 
Neothin, when the machine is turning off its definitely only spinning in one direction. Idunno man, maybe im being paranoid? I drew a black line on my stock pad it came with and fired it up, it was definitely spinning man. wouldnt the little black line stay in about the same spot when it was on?

the pad itself spins on its axis, but the whole pad also travels in a circular motion. hence, dual action.
 
I gotta fire it up and see, I think im understanding your drawing, (by the way, thanks for taking the time to draw that up for me) I will take it out here in a few minutes and see if thats what it looks like.

Jim, quit worryin, put some polish on it, and leaves some trails for your own observations! I like to say, it leaves "Circles, within circles"....
 
Well thanks guys, it started raining on me today, I will fire up the PC tomorrow hopefully for the first time. Thanks for the help, i think im just paranoid!!
