Just picked up some Trigger Wash...

Since Im stuck using coin op wash bays, Trigger Wash seemed like an intriguing product for my arsenal. Seeing that I drive a dark colored Lexus, should I be worried about marring the paint? Does TW provide sufficient suds and lubrication for smooth removal of dirt and road grime? Thanks.

I have never seen this product before. Interesting. I assume it's like a S&W type product.

No its definitely not like a spray and wipe product. Its more of a liquid soap that you spray on the car when washing.

Its basically soap in a sprayer... you still need to rinse off with a hose... The convenience it provides is basically the elimination of a wash bucket... all you need is water, 1 bucket to rinse and your favorite wash mitt. I think it can be a good product for me since Im stuck using coin op bays

I see... kind of a cool idea I guess. On a side note, I thought Meguiar's coined the term Trigger Wash.... wasn't that one of their very first QD's?

I can find it on some retailers pages but I can not find it on Mother's page. Basically, from the descriptions I have just read, it is indead a bucketless wash. Basically you wet the car/hose it down, spray the Trigger Wash on the wet surface, clean it with your wash mitt or sponge, and finally rinse off.

Mothers discontinued the product... I just happened to locate a stockpile of Mothers products at a small-town car parts store near my house. Eagle One makes something similar called "Bucket-Free Car Wash" and is available at most OTC retailers now.

Well, my review is in the review section. It cleans wheels well. Works as a pre-soak. Mitt ends up FULL of lather if you don't have a rinse bucket. One problem I saw was if your car is in good shape and water beads/runs off fast, you aren't left with much water to mix with the soap. Not too much slickness when gliding your mitt across the paint, but there is enough "buffer" that I don't think you'll be damaging your paint. I think if your car had lot of water on it or you dunked your mitt in a bucket of water, there would be much more gliding action. I think the soap just got to concentrated on the car, in my experiences with it.

If you're bringing a bucket with, why not just use a regular shampoo?

I didn't use one just so I could review it as per the instructions and in "extreme" bare necessities sort of circumstances.

I love using Trigger Wash, even with a bucket. It works great.

It might be because I really like the smell.

Why not just take a bucket to the coin wash and your own wash mit with your pic of soap. Just use the rinse water from the wash. :getdown
