First off, this forum is awesome. The people here all seem very knowledgeable and helpful, more so than any car forum I’ve been to period. This forum is a wealth of information; before I came here I thought I knew how to detail a car, boy was I wrong.

Ok, on to what I bought:

Porter Cable 7336 SP

Sonus SFX Foam Pad Polishing Kit

Extra Sonus SFX-3 Final Finish & Wax Pad For P21S

Stock PC pad for Autoglym Glass Polish

Step 1: Perfect Shine Detailing Clay Bundle

Step 2: Sonus SFX-1

Step 3: Sonus SFX-2

Step 4: Klasse All-In-One

Step 5: Need Opinions Here for a sealant

Step 6: P21S Carnauba Car Wax

Step 7: Autoglym Glass Polish & Cleaner

I need some help on step 5, I was going to use Klasse sealant, but read some don’t like the results it gives. So I’m not sure what to use in between The Klasse AIO and the P21S. I have Mothers Reflections, will that work as a good sealant between, or will I beable to just get away with using the P21S on top of the Klasse AIO? Will that protection last?

Here is a pic of the car I will be working on:

Thanks in advance,

Keep the KAIO and top with whatever sealant you choose. Zaino is top shelf stuff and goes a long way but is a bit pricey initially.

1st post so go easy. Thanks to this site I purchased the 7336. The kicker is, it did not come with a wrench, instructions, or pads. The good thing is, I only paid $22.00 at Lowe's.

This has been asked before, but I'm not sure which backing plate and pads to use. Plus I need a wrench and directions. Help!!! Thanks in advance.

z281982, here is a link for some of the info your looking for. How-to Use The Porter Cable 7424 Polisher Explains the tool and pads. The most popular pads are the Lake Country and also EDGE. This write up explains the color of each. You will probably want to get a 5" or 6" backing plate, as you can use either with your 7336sp. Check out the sponsors of the sites and their websites. You can usually save 10% from each by using autopia in the coupon code section.

As for the wrench. You can contact Porter Cable for a replacement, I am not sure if Autopia sells one or Danase as I could not find one on their sites. Here is one from proper auto care, Replacement Porter Cable Flat Wrench.

Welcome to the forum. Next time you might want to start your own thread as you will get more responses, and keeps the original thread on topic. Also, try and use the search button on top, as there is a lot os usefull information that can be found, as we have all been noobies at one time, we were all asking these questions. Hope this helps.

Hey Scott I see your part of this site too! Toms friend met you last year at Norwalk. Anyways your using similar products that I'm using. Car is looking great.

First off, sweet looking ride. Secondly, I would suggest zaino z5pro. Its durable and looks great. Here is z5pro on red.

I agree with greg. Easy to use and the gloss is intense! Look at my picture avatar.

I have tried it on a bunch of cars and it is my top sealant. It's the glow that it leaves that is impressive.
