Just ordered S100 Paste Wax...

Dont set them too high. I personally think its overated..............Pros: Its easy to use, non staining, affordable. Cons: Short set time which can make removal difficult, no sustaining protection, no better then average looks IMO............

Flame away folks.....

I just dont think it lives up to the hype.............I actually gave mine away.........

Thanks for the honest reply. I was looking for an affordable product to try out. I'll be using it this weekend and I'll let you know how it turns out for me.

Have any suggestions for a lsp? Affordable? Expensive?

Thanks again Patrick.

Auto, truth be told, I dont use Nubas........I just dont find them attractive with all the great Polymers available. I guess if I had to pick one, and this is on the recommendations of many co-detailers, it would have to go to one of the Collinites.....I havent used it widely enough to even evaluate it, but theres quite a lot of people on here who like it.

Joe, dont get me wrong, its good, but not something Im going to write home about. If you have ordered it, go ahead and use it by all means. You'll be satisfied, but when you have tried so many products out there, you come to find a few that kind of always come shining through, and you go to them constantly.

what should my expectations be?

Thanks all!

A very easy to apply wax that is also easy to remove right away. Gloss and depth are decent, however durability is sub-standard. The look is probably 90% close to Souveran, due to the rich content of oils. So, expect to reapply a fresh coat every couple weeks to look its best.

All in all, I agree with Patrick. I've got 2 containers of S100 now collecting dust. It's just not one of those products that blew me away. :nixweiss I prefer much greater protection/durability and a more lasting shine that doesn't need to be babied to look its best...

Could not have said it better. I just sold my jar. Durability was the big issue for me. I got maybe 2weeks out of it. The looks were very good for the first day. I found using the s100 shine enchancing cleanser greatly increased the results.

Well, IMHO, on medium to light colors, at least, it looks rich and gives excellent gloss and good depth. It's VERY easy to use, and has very little odor. Durability is fair to poor.

Overall, I think it's a very good product and I continue to use it.

Like most on this board, I have a large (and ever increasing collection) of LSP. Although most will out-endure S100, I still really like it and won't give it away.

Appearance-wise it's excellent. It won't darken a colour like many carnaubas...its very neutral that way. It leaves a VERY clear finish with crisp, sharp reflections, but unlike a sealant look. I guess its very clear and glossy, without looking artificial. (Not bagging sealants...I have several)

For ME, the best thing about it is the application/removal of this wonderful carnauba. I find it a very emotive ritual which is satisfying. Everything about it feels natural and right. It sounds really weird, but that's about the best way I can describe it. No, its not very durable, but you can redo the whole car in about 10 mins and experience that lovely ritual once again! And looks excellent on metallics!

Couldn't have said it better myself. I think S100/P21S is a joy to use and I really like the look. If you're wanting to use a 'nuba on your paint, you shouldn't have a problem reapplying every couple of months. It only takes 15-20 minutes to do a whole car. I really only use S100 on my black motorcycle (Victory Vegas Jackpot), but I couldn't be happier with it, especially over RMG.

S100 is my second favorite LSP on silver. It is one of the few waxes that will not darken silver.

First pick, #16. I can wax with S100 almost as fast as I can QD.

I noticed a nice shimmer from S100 on silver. I think if you clay the paint and use a decent swirl remover first the S100 will be a great improvement, especially at night or over direct sunlight.

Silver is soo great :)

Also after the last time I used S100 I topped it with FK FX100 and another time with FK 425 and the dust magnet that bare S100 and P21s often is on paint was not a problem. The FX 100 seemed to be very good for S100 because it sealed the S100 so that I could apply more layers. I never been able to combine S100 with another product like that before.

I don't mean to 'jack this thread but how does the S100 look compare to Nattys Blue. I've used S100 and am thinking about ordering some NB but probably won't if they look about the same. The impression I get from past "reviews" is that NB may be wetter in appearance. Comments?

A Gamecock Red Porshe passing you with Pin. Souveran going 120 mph. No just kiddin. A nice wax with better than average qualities. You will like it.

sorta off-topic...Clemsonjoe you mentioned "ordered" s100, did you order it online? S100 can be found in most any motorcycle shop, e.g. HD dealers.

I've been using S100 for years and love it. However, I'm trying out NXT liquid right now and like it too.

Nattys is wetter looking with better durability. I suspect NB is the same. NB has more fillers than standard Nattys, and standard Nattys fills better than S100. Nattys darkens paint a little, and NB even more so.

On the other hand S100 has the sharpest, clearest reflections without going to a sealant. Many other LSP (Nattys included), while looking great, look like you have *something* on the paint making it reflective, while S100 just makes the paint look reflective.

Alfisti - That was a great answer, thanks. Sounds like perhaps one could be applied over the other for the best of both worlds. Regardless, NB is wetter with a little better durability while S100 offers a truer "paint reflectivity." Thanks again for the response.
