Is your typical two bucket wash going to remove fresh (less than two-day old) tree sap? I noticed my car had a rough feeling to the paint yesterday, probably from having to park under a tree at work after lunch. I really don't want to have to clay the car again (just did it last month). Will a good wash using two buckets and a foam gun be enough to remove it? I also have some Bug Squash on hand, I may mix some of that up in the foam gun and use it as a presoak. What do you guys think?

I would think that a good hand wash on tree sap that is that fresh will wash off....if you have a good wax or sealant on it chances are its going to come right off ...I've had this on my car and with a WW MF and S&W I've had good luck getting it off...some bug squash mixed with water as a pre-soak couldn't hurt either...not sure that its necessary thought
Thanks for your reply Beemerboy. I did the BS pre-soak and washed with NXT today, and the sap came right off. Not sure if it was the BS or the washing that did it, but whatever. Also, my car had a couple good layers of Megs #26, and I really feel that this is what saved me. That sap would have stuck to the paint like glue had it not been already protected.Thanks for your help,
