Just got the 7424 Bonus Kit from Coastal...what pads????

I have a quick question about the terry bonnets that come w/ that kit. Do you simply put them on top of one of the pads?

I'm gonna get the kit from carcaresmart, since I'm poor and can't afford the exchange rates. Its about time I bite the bullet, keep putting it off.

Paul, I was in T.O. today, I could have popped by with some pads! I didn't see this post in time. Dont forget us when you need something local!

If you're going to get the pads from http://www.carecaresmart.com get the 6 1/2" ones because they are made specifically for the heat and rigours of a DA. I bought the 6" ones and the velcro fell off the yellow pad. The guys at Lake Country said it's because they are not intended for a DA.

Lake Country was willing to exchange it for me but I figured after shipping over the border it would probably be the same cost as buying a new pad. Someone said they used shoe goo to fix it when it happened to them, I've done the same but haven't tried it out yet.

If you don't have a backing plate yet you can get kits from them too.

You can also order backing plates and pads from http://www.eshine.ca

Correct! When we ordered our stash from Lake Country we ordered the 6" pads. Julie at Lake Country was nice enough to call me back and warn me they were not made for DA polishers and we switched to the 6.5"! I'm glad they saved us that frustration!

I bought mine from TOL and feel that they were a pretty good bang for the buck. I bought 1 cutting pad, 3 polishing pads, and 2 finishing pads (50 bucks total). I drive a silver car so the cutting pads are not that important to me so I only bought one just to "have around."

Good luck in your quest.
