and I am VERY excited to get started. It is the PC 7424 with Orange, Green, Blue, and two buffing pads. I also recieved Souveran wax (cmon, i have a Torch Red car, what else?). I am really looking forward to starting, but let me explain my condition.

I have never used a PC before, but I read the whole PC tutorial and the guide to detailing by DavidB.

My car has EXTREMELY light swirls. You can't see them from far away at all, so I was thinking of this:

-Wash

-Clay

-Wash

-Poorboys SSR 1 on Blue or Green (which one) Sonus pad-

-Klasse AIO with Blue Sonus pad (i know you have to use SO little AIO, i do it by hand usually, so help on how to apply it by PC would be a great help)

-Klasse SG using a buffing bonnet (thats what it says, I need to know how, I dont get it)

-Souveran by hand.

I think this would look great, but any input and recommendations would be great. I am thinking of going with SSR 1 because of my very minor swirls and it is the least abrasive. I am just confused on the stuff where I have parenthesis.

Thanks a lot

It's great to hear you've joined the PC club. :up

A few things:

1) You don't have to wash after claying.

2) SSR1 with the green pad (you may need to step up the polish or do multiple passes depending on the results you get). What other polishes do you have?

3) You don't have to be too concerned about being economical with AIO (unlike SG). If you're using AIO as cleaner/polish, you need to use a lot more than when using it as a base for your LSP. View it more as a polish than a sealant.

4) It's easier to control the amount of SG you use if you apply by hand/spray bottle.

I hope this helps.

I was htinking of just getting SSR1. It is a brand new car and has VERY light marring and swirl marks. Do you think this would be a good idea of order?

Wash, Clay, Wash, SSR1, AIO, Souveran

or do you think i need the SG in there?

I also just read about Mothers Power Polish and since I can probably get that at a store, if I should just use that on the green pad to replace SSR1.

I would definitely add the SG. Probably 2 or 3 coats of it. Top it with SOuveran and WOW!

You may need an orange pad with the SSR 1. IF you had SSR 2 or 2.5 you could probably get away with the green pad. But, give it a shot with the green. You have nothing to lose

I agree with the SG! If you can, add 4 or more coats. Follow the directions and be patient about getting rid of the swirls. It may take a little time.

Great kit!! Got mine last month or so ago!
