Just got my pad kit: coupla ??s

I just got my pad kit in for my porter cable. Is the pad shape supposed to be concave? If so, How do I get full contact with the surface of each panel? The stock pad shape is completely flat, so just wondering.. Also, How do I keep the velcro from wearing out?:woot:

It depends on the pad, some are flat and some are concave. Here's a recent thread that explains the theory behind them:

I've never really had a problem with the velcro wearing out yet on a pad.
