Im a little confused, it came with the Bissell concentrate for upholstery/rugs and it says to add it into the tank?

I always thought that you just sprayed the cleaner on the carpets, agitate, and extract.

Im heading out tomorrow to Costco to buy some Woolite and Folex. Do I need to add the woolite/folex into the tank?

You can do it either way. The concentrate that came with the LGCM is made for carpets, it low sudsing, and seems to do a decent job w/o leaving much of a residue behind.

If you spray a cleaner directly onto the carpet then you'd just use plain water to extract it. I have used the woolite mix before, but it suds up quite a bit when trying to extract it, so I would start off at a 10:1 mix and try not to saturate the carpet too much. Folex seems to be a great cleaner, but I've never tried to mix it in the LGCM.

Below is a link to carpet cleaning that Sean wrote up (and has since updated) that might give you some tips:

I've had mine for some time, I have the heated version with the turbo brush.

Be sure to keep the nozzle clean or you won't get any spray out, I've disassembled mine to remove the deposits and it seems to work much better. Overall it's been a good purchase, but it hasn't met my expectations.

I only use water in the tank now.

I'm with mdsmithers...I got a heated version at Target in the spring.

I can't say I am unhappy with it, but have been a bit dissappointed with how it works. I have been using the cleaner they recommend, and I am using it mainly for carpeted mats. I do see dirty water coming back into the pic-up tank, but it does not always remove stains.

For stains on the mats that it will not remove, I use the trick taught me by an old time upholstery shop...50-50 mix of Spray9 and water. Seems to take anything out.
