i have the best results with E1! :xyxthumbs

The Eagle One works good for me too. It is also great that I scored a ton of it for $1 per jug and just found some more (10 or so) for $2 per jug. :woot: I should be stocked up for awhile.:heelclick

I've used a few, only 3 noteworthy: TOTL BubbleBath, DP Extreme Foam, & Optimum Car Wash Consentrate. Here's the Optimum:

For this degree of foam (clings very well), I put 8 oz. OCWC and 24oz of water in the reservoir and set the ratio to 4oz. per gallon. I can do several cars before refilling the bottle.

I mix up my shampoo mix in a gallon jug and fill the foamgun from that. I use a weaker mix than a lot of people, just ~4-6 oz. of Griot's Car Wash per gallon.

agreed, and you can fill the foam gun up four times from that...

so whats the difference between the foammaster 1 and 2? obviously the 2 is all plastic construction, but is it better when it comes to spray foam or working with it? or did they simply reconstruct it to make it cheaper to make? id like to get one, but dont wanna get the one that wont last as long as the other, or if the first had a few bugs, id want to pick up number 2

i have the one with the brass pin and would prefer it over the plastic one if i had to choose all back over again. i'm sure you can't go wrong with either one...

yeah, i went ahead and checked gilmours site to find out which gun was which, you can get either fully adjustable guns for the same price. but yeah, id feel better with the metal one too.... id hate to drop one from it being slippery or disconnecting it to spray down and BOOM, plastic snaps... lol

I haven't posted this for a while:

Note that the retaining screw on the end of the brass mixing-bar tends to come loose, and so can the drilled vent screw that goes into the top of the housing. I'd put a bit of Locktite blue on those, but be careful not to clog the vent hole.

CG Citrus Wash & Gloss 1 capful for 5 gallons ..... so all I know is just to put a capful with water in the Gilmour and suds everywhere!!!
