Just bought an Air Wand

"I would not use a vac as a blower because it may be possible to blow out onto the cars surface some grime and gunk."

Actually Anthony I bet you could use the Mtero since the blower end is really free of dirt. As for the wand I bet I could drill an opening in a blower attachment.

I'd rather save the $100 and the Metro is very heavy duty.

OK,,, here's my report. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 8. Nice product, but I was expecting a bit more "volume" of air coming out of the wand. I guess this could be achieved with a gas powered blower but I'm sure that's over the top. The "Barracuda" leaf blower that comes with the kit (which claims it's a 200 mph blower) just seemed to be a bit underpowered. Don't get me wrong, it did it's job, but it took a little longer to dry the car than I expected. I finished the job with some Zaino spray detail and a waffle weave towel. If the neighbors around me don't think I'm crazy yet,,, they certainly do now by using a leaf blower with some wand thing attached. :)

It's my understanding that there's only 2 leafblowers including the Barracuda that the Air Wand attachment can fit onto? :nixweiss

Well I would save my money than buy an Air Wand.

I just dried my Lexus with a Metro and the crevice tool and it worked fine.

If you need a vacuum buy the Metro instead and use it to dry the car via the blower attachment.

Charles, that's also an option. The Metro is really nice since you can wear it over the shoulder and move around the car easily.

I actually took the Metro thing a step forward and bought the Master Blaster. It has 2 four hp motors instead of one and it has unbelievable power. I used the Vac n Blo for about a year as a blower/vac before deciding I wanted the ultimate drying tool. I can dry floor mats in about 3 minutes. I also can still use it with only 1 motor running but I love the extra power with the second one. It has an enclosed charcoal filter and is designed strictly for drying and blowing, not vacuuming.

Mark...this thing apparently draws 19 amps...how do you have it plugged in?

I use a professional Echo backpask blower. Then again my father and I own a landscape business. It works like a champ. Then I go over it with Formula 113 Bead X and a WW mf towel.
