Just a wash 2.5 weeks after a full detail and being parked outside

I'm pretty pleased so far the the look has held up. '04 w/80k miles. My truck has KSG x 3 with a topper of CG 5050 wax. It's parked outside 24/7 and has been rained on for days straight, our weather recently has been a few degrees short of tropical ;) Anyway I'm pleased the 5050 still appears to be holding up, there seems to be a little extra something over just the ksg still. Anyway nothing terribly dramatic to report, just a few pics I snapped of some cool reflections/gloss. I'm hoping to get some decent durability out of this combo this winter, we'll see what happens when the salt hits.

Thanks. The s65 is covered in leaves and dirty right now. Gotta have priorities man...the

s65 is cool, but it's no CUMMINS! :woot: :usa

Hahaha, I must say, you gotta love the "brutality" factor of the diesel. But, c'mon, 738 lb/ft and 604hp in that Benz, thats more than the truck! Nice rides, and again, the truck looks fantastic.

It' s got the edge for now, but you'd be surprised. The truck is making 500 at the WHEELS and 950lbs of torque..and the twin turbos are still on the shelf with a set of 100hp injectors waiting to go on.. Granted the truck weighs 7900lbs, when I put the rest of the toys on it will run high 12's low 13's on 35" tires...no it will not beat the benz still in a race, but strap 10k lbs to both...well you get my point...not apples to oranges. The truck is fun to drive re: the brutality factor...stomp it, run over or tow anything, don't worry about a thing...I cringe hitting potholes in the s65 whenever I do find a chance to drive it. No discredit to the S tho..it's a serious beast in its own right..nice to be able to light up the tires at 80mph!I've been procrastinating detailing it because mb of bedford royally raped the finish and the ceramiclear is no fun. Will b e fun to try out my 106ff or whatever its called from menzerna tho!

Happy holiday, turkeys!

Sick truck dude...you gotta take off the front license plate frame! :D

You didn't like the crome ram emblem on the grille?

Basshog wow, I thought this thread was dead, but you revived it! Thanks for the kind words on the truck, I definitely love it. Good timing, I will update it with a picture from today...glad I did all that prep work early!

Nope, I took the ram emblem off the hood, debadged the doors and tailgate too..I like the clean look - just left the Cummins logos on, didn't have the heart to take those off ;)

Funny you say that, I just got pulled over on Saturday for no front license plate..I need to put it on!

Here's today - Gorgeous!

Thanks for the kind words guys. Here she is today...now that the snow/ice has melted off the truck in the sun, I'm left with some serious salty chemical crap all over the truck. This stuff is seriously thick and gritty. We'll see how the KSG w/5050 topper holds up against it..I think I'm going to pull out the new foam gun and bhb for their first run..brrrr

Hope the foamgun/BHB combo works as well for you as it does for me, that black paint will make a for a great (or awful ;) ) test. It took me a lot of tries to get the technique just right, so don't get discouraged if the first try isn't some miracle.

Remember to rinse the BHB very frequently until you see how little rinsing you can get away with, and make the foamgun an addition to, rather than a replacement for, the two-bucket method. I find that after using the BHB it pays to go back over the area with a mitt (and the foamgun) as the foamgun/BHB method (done properly) is mighty gentle, maybe *too* gentle to get all the dirt off. Post back if you can about how it goes.

Oh, and good move, doing that debadging :xyxthumbs
