Joyriide Detailed: Porsche Cayman S

I've worked on a lot of cars over the years and never felt the need to wetsand, if you will, many of them...especially a car that seems to be in that condition...I feel that any time that you take something like sandpaper regardless of the grit its a very aggressive process and I reserve that for cars that are beat up pretty well...the car turned out nice and I"m glad the owner liked it

I have no way of describing it. there is no paper backing so in a sense, the cloth backing cushions a lot of the grit as it glides over the paint. It is gentler than Claymagics red claybar, yet pulls contaminants out better. My only suggesting is to buy a small sheet for less than 20 bucks and try it. I too was skeptical, but after looking at it and feeling it in person, then finally giving it a shot, I was sold. My only suggestion is to clay first with a fine grade bar, then follow with this on those bad areas. Something I did notice was that it is far more aggressive wet than dry.

This was suggested to my by David Fermani, of which I know that Themightytimmah, and Grouse use it as well.

Give it a shot, I'm the last person to use a product just because its faster without care for the damage inflicted.

I think he was pretty clear in stating the fact that it was LESS AGGRESSIVE than some claybars. Would you claybar a car in that condition? Therefore, this could hardly be wet sanding. I think you read his description of the micro-surface product where he described it as sandpaper like and came to an incorrect conclusion.

You don't have the experience he has with this product much less handled the micro-surface product so your comment about "a sandpaper like product regardless of the grit being aggressive" doesn't hold much water as they say.

Why not reserve your comments until after you have tried the same product? :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm:

Sweet car and great job on it!!

There's not really too many applications where this sandpaper couldn't come in handy. Most people (even pros) can't grasp the concept until they try it. Then it's like a very addictive drug.

P21s Wheel Cleaner on the exhaust? That's a new one. hrm

Using a wheel cleaner on an exhaust tip works wonders. I usually hit up exhaust tips first with some Meguiar's Wheel Brightener, then with some Meguiar's Body Solvent (to remove tar), then I finish up by polishing with some Deep Chrome. The tips come out like new. :bigups
