Jewled the paint on a yellow GTO then waxed.

Well I did my personal car yesterday. I did all the correction a few months back, and I was asked to try out some Collinite 845 for a guy on the GTO forum. He sent me a sample to do a write up on it, so yesterday I put it on.

I washed the car using palm olive and some degreaser that my dads company sells. Then I dried it and did a quick burnish with FPII on a tangerine pad with the PC at speed 6. I worked the polish in at speed 1, then went up to 6 for 1 pass with no pressure, then I did a few passes with pressure, followed by one more pass with no pressure. I then wiped the whole car down with IPA, and began to put the collinite on.

I didn't detail the rest of the car yet as I was running out of daylight for gloss pics, so the wheels and tires and trim are dirty. Here are some pics of after the jewling and collinite. I am super impressed with it. What do you guys think?

The gloss on the front panel in this pic is close to what it is in person. It is just unreal...

Thanks guys.

By the way, those are clouds on the hood, NOT buffer trails. My finish is truly 100%! It has never looked this good IMO. I am getting a friend of mine to come take good pictures of it as mine do it no justice.

Looks really good. Great color for waxes like 845, P21S and Meguiars #16. Just something about waxes that have a clear, somewhat bright look and yellow paint. :)

Looks great. I love the way Collinite looks on yellow. I use it on my yellow GTI unless I get lazy and use OCW. You'll love the way it beads in the rain.

Is that a convex mirror on the driver's side? I've seen that in Europe but not in the US.

I'm not much for yellow but when it POPS like that it really looks good! Really nice work. :bow

I've been using 845IW for over 30 years. I've sampled everything I can get my hands on and I've never found any LSP that approaches it's combination of ease of use, gloss and longevity. And it's cheap too! You're going to be pleasantly surprised after your next drive in the rain at how dirty the car isn't! :woot2:

Thanks, I also have some FK-1000 to test out for this guy.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments.
