So a friend of mine came back from a tour earning himself a bronze star.
Especially with the holiday season coming around, I think a special thanks is due for those who can't be with their loved ones so that we can freely be with ours.
For those against the war, take it up with the government; don't dog those that protect our freedoms.
Welcome back 1st lieutenant Lee.
So to the car. 2007 jet black bmw f series... Barry Theal... THANKS. You're a friggen magician. I swear if you say you needed a blue torch and a chain saw, it would somehow make sense.
Car had never been detailed but man the paint was beat up in terms of swirls rids and bird scars.but other than that, it was in pretty good shape.(I'm trying to be optimistic)
After TAW and ONR wash
Rims weren't bad tires had a weird caked something that scrubbed off
Car was tuned and I wish I took a pic of the steering wheel cause it was really cool. Still looking for a way to get those metal parts really clean..coarser steel wool?
50/50 on first pass
I tried hyper polish spray, 205..Sigh jet black was a pita for sure.
This car really hit home the importance of slowly reducing the pressure and speed with each pass..still wasn't satisfied...this is where a technique I'll call the Barry Theal Method (aka BTM) came in handy; simply amazing.
RIDS were tricky...even with fresh orange ccs and 105 some of them seemed stupid enough where I didn't want to risk going crazy
After 105
I think after btm
Pulled the car out for inspection
TAW metal polish 303 megs hyper dressing
Was salt caked and black inside polished after taw
Finished off with 915 on everything
By then 10 hours of work I was exhausted so forgot to take afters
Thanks guys!
As always suggestions pointers critiques etc are appreciated
Special thanks to Mr. Theal on this job
