JDM Accord, A Black Beauty

here you go again!

Stunning pictures. Deep wet shiny etc...

That camera of yours is great!

:bow :bow :bow

You guys should see his other black car threads. Better than this one.

Looks sick, the Mugen kit really makes the car aggressive.

Nice work on the detail as well as documenting it. :bigups

that is so effing sexy... I was working on my USDM Acura TSX and going with an orange sonus DAS pad with DACP and a white SFX pad with AIO looked like **** compared to that. I can't believe how clean you got all your swirls, got any good tips on how to work it?

Excellent job! That is very deep!

That camera you have is amazing at taking pure quality pics too! Nikons have always had excellent rep at showing detailed pics. That is my next camera.

awesome detail and considering i have all of those products it is even better

By mixing RMG with IP are u looking to adds some oils to the paint while polishing? Does the rmg soften the polish and if so does that not allow to correct as well?

Did you see any difference by using VM after your polish?

Did you use it to refine the finish?

Sorry for all questions but that is amazing.

Hi guys, I was out the whole day detailing a VW Passat and just managed to log in. Never expect the overwhelming response and I appreciate every kind compliments from you guys :up .

How do you like CJ?

CMW has a very deep and wet look but somehow I find it lacks a bit in term of shine. Using CJ to buff off the residue of CMW does add more shine to the finish. I tend to use less CJ with this method and application seems easier.

Is it a real JDM Accord, or is it an Acura TSX with swapped badges and a body kit? It looks like they got the full Mugen body kit

Over here in Singapore this car is know as the JDM Accord and in fact there are a few other cars from Nissan and Honda are named differently in the Singapore and US.

Yup, I am really enjoying my new camera, Nikon D40. It takes great pictures with very accurate reproduction of the images :up .

I will suggest you give IP/RMG and 106FF/RMG a try, so far I find Menzerna seems to give the best finish as compare to the other polish I have used. One good tip I got from Scottwax is to move your DA machine slow with overlapping passes.

I agreed with you totally. Initially I was deciding between Canon and Nikon, luckily I picked Nikon. You will never regret getting a Nikon DSLR.

From my experience, mixing RMG to IP in fact improve the performance of IP. It allows me to have a longer working time with IP thus better paint correction. By mixing 70/30, the majority is still IP and very little hiding property from the RMG. At least so far I do not have any customer coming back to me because swirls reappear after a few washes.

Personally I find RMG helps more to improve the depth and wetness of the paint work while VM seems to give a better shine with good depth and wetness too. With the mild abrasive in VM, it will helps to remove the very light marring from IP, so instead of going to 106FF/RMG I go straight to VM direct.

You did an amazing job, gotta love a clean black car!

Is it me or does everything about that car say Acura with Honda and Accord badges? The headlights, tail lights and body lines are an acura TSX.

FWIW I read somewhere that there are three different versions of the Accord: JDM, US, and Euro. The TSX is a rebadged Euro Accord.
