Jason's Introduction Page

Hey Guys just wanted to send a Special Thanks to flatstick (Matt) he sent me a box full of goodies, and even when I insisted that he let me pay him for his time and products, he would not allow me to.

I guess that's what this Club is all about...people helping out each other....learning from each other. Since I've joined I have not met a person here that wouldn't at the drop of a dime be quick to offer some help or at least give you some advice regarding products they have used and their experiences with them (which will save you a lot of money when u think about it). I believe this speaks volumes as to the caliber of people we have here, one's who are always willing to help out.

Matt sent me some good stuff, I can't wait to try them out (when it stops raining here in Chicago!) here's what he sent:

-Jeff Werkstat acrylic jett trigger spray sealant

-Jeff Werkstat prime strong

-BlackFire Gloss Enhancing Polish

-Collinite 845 liquid wax

-Ultima Paint Guard Plus

-Poorboys Natural look

-Poorboys Spray & Wipe

when Photobucket will allow me to upload pictures (because it keeps giving me this 404: Error message) I will take some pictures of this stuff to show you all.

My only question now would be.....in what order would I use all this stuff?:buffing:

Assume that I will pressure wash this vehicle and use the tri-color soap and spray her down, then dry her off with a MF, and then clay her.....in which order would I use the products noted above? These are all new products to me and did include a letter describing each of them but when it comes to sealants and polishes and wax's and paint guards, a particular order would be nice to know.

Thanks to Matt for the gift I really appreciate it man :hifive::2thumbs::thx

Jason,

You are very welcome on the box of goodies that I sent you. once you get you car washed clayed and dried, I would use the prime strong as you paint cleaner and follow with either the 845 , JW trigger or upgp. any of these would be the some good winter protection. if you choose to follow up the prime strong with the UPGP , it is the easiest to use and is really a wipe on and let it vanish without wiping off. the prime trigger is slightly more work than UPGP as you need to spray a panel and wipe it off LOL ! the 845 is applied very thin and I let it dry for like 20 minutes them remove slight haze. I gave you three lsp choices so you can compare them. the blackfire gloss enhancing polish should give you a little wetter look on the black paint and I would top it with the collinte 845, due to the fact that I do not know if the other sealants will bond to it as well as they would the prime strong. you should use the S&W on your ride when it is just a little dusty but not a lot of dirt or rock salt. you can also use the S&W to remove bird bombs or you door jambs to keep them clean. the pb natural look does a descent job on the interior or for cleaning the plastic and hoses in your engine compartment. hope I did not give you too many options to try at once but at least you can have some fun deciding what to try next :hifive:

drop me a line if you need any more help.

Yeah you're right. I had a Gentleman send me a care package at no expense, mighty generous IMHO! And Barry you're right the people here are great there's just sooooo much to learn here its mind blowing!

I've always had a passion for detailing cars especially black cars, and this website has just taken my Passion to a whole new level. My only regret is that I found this site at the end of the summer and now winter has arrived, thus taking all the fun out of detailing.:down

But I just look at it like this, the more I learn now, the more I can apply it when spring arrives.....how many days till then lol???

Welcome Jason! Nice to see another Chicagoan here. I liked the pic of your car infront of the Field Museum. I got a chance to really look around that place after U2360 at Soldier Field. You'll like your 845IW for our Chicago winter salt!:bigups
