Jaguar Vanden Plas Detail

Hello everyone. I set out today to bring back a jaguar that I usually maintain back to perfection. There was about 1.5 months where I didnt work on it, so it got some poor washes that left some deeper washing swirls. The hi temp was 93 today. After I washed I worked the paint instead of my usual interior. I started the paint early so it wouldnt be so hot. It worked great.

Wash:

-CG maxi suds via foam gun, pressure washer assist
-clay, maxi suds as lube
-clean wheels, wells and tires with meguairs wheel brightener, and maxi suds & megs brushes, pressure washer assist
- Engine Degreased with meguiars super degreaser 4:1

Paintwork:

-Hi temp extreme cut/optimum polish (50/50) @1500 , lake country orange VC light pad
-Menzerna FPII @1500, meguiars 6" yellow polishing pad
-Meguiars #21 Sealant

Final Touches:

-Wheels dressed with hyper dressing 1:1
-Wells dressed with hyper dressing 3:1
-OCW on rims & exhaust
-Engine Dressed with hyper dressing 1:1
-Engine Paintwork cleaned with meguiars apc+ 10:1, and sealed with ocw
-Windows Cleaned with Fk1 #425

Interior:

-Vaccum
-Woolite to light clean carpets 8:1
-Dressed with meguiars water based dressing 1:1
-Leather conditioned with 4* leather conditioner
-Jambs cleaned with #425

I appologize for my lack of borders on my pics. I didnt have the patience to do it to all of the pics lol.

ENJOY!!

Paint on the jaguar wire looks good. It has some nice reflection to it. what do you think of megs # 21 ?from the pics it appears to be a real nice sealnt.

btw, I ended buying a gallon of the Megs APC+ but i havent tried the dressing..

I love the #21 sealant. I think I will use it more often. The pics look crappy because photobucket lowers the quality of my pics so much (IHATEIT!!)

You should be happy with anything from the meguiars detailer line.

Nice job Greg. You do excellent work with the rotary!!!!!!

A treatment of Z5/Z2 Pro would take that paint to the next level :)

Impressive work (as always) Greg!

The customer had to be pleased with the results.

p.s. -I have to agree with my neighbor GBGTL -Z would look great on the paint :) (LOL).

Again, great work! Thanks for sharing.

John,

I have a feeling I will be using the Z sometime soon ;)

Nice job, but thats the usual with you huh...

Whats a good photo host that does not lower the quality. I'm sure theres some, granted you have to pay a membership...

Greg,

Great job as always. I too am a big fan of all the Megs Detailer line products. I haven't tried one yet that I haven't like a lot.

Ironically, I detailed a Jaguar Vanden Plas today too! My thread will be up shortly. The one I did was black . . . ugh!

Joy - I can host with my website but Its always a pain to find out what the link of the picture is. I might have to just deal with the hassle.

Mikey - I look forward to it!!

Greg

Superb work as would be expected from you! I'm just taking up the rotary and hopefully, with enough practice, I'll soon get near the results that you do time after time.

Keep up the great work.

I want to take a bite out of that paint, it looks so good.

+1 for the mink carpets :D.

Thanks everyone!

Sean, arent those crazy? You wouldnt believe how long it takes to get the dirt/sand out of those!

Yeah, the VP I detailed had those matts too (at least 3 of them). They are so plush and comfortable it's ridiculous. But they are a MAJOR PITA to clean and when I wet them down they kind of smelled like a wet dog.
