I've been asked to detail a Semi, how much to charge?

IF you have to polish aluminum wheels; I'd invest quickly in a couple of Mother's PowerBalls and polish.

Good luck.

OK im bringing this back from the dead!!!

Ive got a situation on hand a company has inquired about getting full semi detailed im guessing exactly like the meguiars rigs for an event at a local track!

the biggest trailer ive done is a 38foot Classic horse trailer!!

I have no idea where to even start bidding this job, Im told its a 58foot trailer and 35 foot coach!

heres the catch! THERE IS TWO OF THEM!!!

any advice on where to start bidding these things would be greatly appreciated!

Good for you, this could be quite a money maker. Of course like everyone says, you will need ladders, scaffolding (better) maybe rent a rising platform. Of course the customer pays for all of this. You know the costs of these items and figure them into your quote. More product use, more time, not to mention more physical effort. You should have an hourly rate and just charge for how many hours you think it would take. Plus rental of any equipment.

Best of luck to you. This could generate into a lot of business from other owners. I would also work it with the owner to have a sign displayed at the race stating "Shine provided by....." with maybe flyers and biz cards avaliable. It'd be best if you could be at the race and Qd it when it get's there.

And then pimp your business:grinno:
