by an Autopian thats the best way to get it done. Man i didnt know we were such addicts.:up I was reading other forums and some people suggest comming over here and looking for detailers incase they didnt want to detail their cars themselves. Now thats advertising :xyxthumbs

I've actually gotten a handful of jobs that I can directly link to this site...pretty darn cool.
 
Yeah, that's one of the original reasons I came here. My first post was asking about detailers in the Portland, OR area but no one had any recommendations. Still kinda looking actually. In the mean time I'm trying to learn more and not screw up my finish that bad.
 
I've been really suprised that joining this board has lead to detailing jobs. I expected everyone to be dedicated detailers who wanted to do their own work. I guess some join to maybe learn a little about detailing so they can better chose a detailer. :nixweiss

Eventually I want to be able to do all my own work. Things seem easier when I read about them as compared to actually doing them. At this point it's hard because I don't have a good location to work with. I live in an apartment and the only thing that has going for it is a covered parking garage, but the garage is very dark and space is tight so it's hard to work in. Sometimes I can find places to work on thing but it's not consitent. My wife and I are looking to buy a home this fall, so I'm looking forward to having better places to work eventually. I'd like to find someone who could get rid of some scratches I was unable to get out by hand and once that is done I think I could take things from there for now.
 
Yep me too. I've taken protection to the extreme. It's not just the paint that get's protection. The glass, wheels, wheel wells, tires, interior, exhaust pipes, engine parts.

I klassed all the extruding metal parts of my engine the other day
