iso or cleanser

Is there much of a difference of using either? I know some of you do an iso whipe down after last polishing stage and Ive seen some use a paintwork cleanser. Im i reading into this wrong or they kinda similiar in a way? doesnt and iso whipe down strip old wax and such?
 
Maybe im thinking there isnt much need for a cleanser if you use like xmt 360 or poliseal.
 
An iso or IPA wipe down will remove any residue that is left on the paint, old wax, polish residue, whatever. I believe a paintwork cleanser is similar but have never used one myself. Personally, doing one of the two between polishing and wax seems like an extra unnecessary step but I'm sure there are things I do that others would not so if that's what you want to do, go for it.
