Hi folks,
My wife just bought a red convertible, so my detailing process needs to change. I want to be able to pull all of the depth and reflectivity I can since red is incredible when it's done right. My usual Zaino Z-2 pro won't get the look I'm after.
This is my process. If any of you red owners have opinions, I would very much appreciate them! If it makes a difference, the color is Porsche Guards Red.
it's an '02 that just came off lease. i don't think it's ever been detailed, and looks like it was automatically washed hundreds of times!!
Zaino clay
Pinnacle Swirl Remover using a Wolfgang orange cutting pad, PC7424 orbital
Wolfgang pre-wax enhancer using a wolfgang white polishing pad via 7424
Wolfgang paint sealant using a white polishing pad via PC7424
-after curing for 12 hours:
Souveran paste wax applied by hand.
the results are astounding to my eyes. incredible depth and the distorted, wet look when viewing from different angles. Absolutely NO swirls or fine scratches(even when viewed under those very telling gas station lights), But I'm always open to something even better
