Is this machine enough?

Given the context of your location... maybe. Pads and applicators are essentially limited to the ones supplied with the machine. Secret to success here will be to find the right pads!



Additionally, the unit housing is plastic, so, by definition, it's not going to be very durable... do not drop it!



It does have the speed/torque to accomplish your goals. I've used a similiar unit, with a wool pad, and 3M Machine Glaze with fine results.



Pads. Find some pads.

I would see what is available from Makita, or Dewalt in your area. This tool has no power rating listed which usually means low end consumer model.



Try looking at a home improvement store, construction supply store, or hardware store.
 
Hmm, I'd also check into what kind of pads or bonnets it can take. I've seen a B&D Mighty Mouse sander here that also comes with waxing and polishing accessories, and while it was stuck on with velcro, I can't recall if a regular PC pad would fit on it (spacewise).... Just something to consider.
