Is this how you guys do it?

I found these videos whilst researching the rotary I'm gonna get and am curious about this guys technique. He leans the machine over quite often while buffing. The speed seems relatively low, but I'd think this isn't the safest way to go about it. Can any rotary pros chime in? I've used them before, but I always kept the pad flat (perhaps too scared to do otherwise? lol).

Makita Variable Speed Buffer - 0-3000 RPM

Sorry if you guys have seen thsese already.

I'm no pro, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express! :D

1500 rpms is fine for polishing. I'm not sure how he was at 1450 rpm and 1650 rpm, but anyways.....you are correct, you shouldn't be tilting the pad that excessively.

 I have always tilted my pad when running rotary. As far as tha R.P.M.s I agree agian with tha King, Looks like tha hood he was doing demo on did not need alot of correction therefore lees R.P.M.s are needed. So it looks like I'm going against tha grain again.:nana:but what do I know(28yrs. full-time detailer) :dcrules:boot

That's what I thought, but if he can do that without marring anything and get good results, good for him. As for me, I'll stay flat for now...lol.
