Is this a good starter package...

I'm now going to get more into polishing so I wanted opinions if this is a good route to take in terms of products to start with...

PCP-1000-ccs.jpg

it comes with

16 oz. Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish

16 oz. Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover

16 oz. Pinnacle Liquid Souveran

16 oz. Pinnacle Crystal Mist Carnauba Detail Spray

1 - 6.5 Inch CCS Orange Light Cutting Pad

1 - 6.5 Inch CCS White Polishing Pad

1 - 6.5 Inch CCS Blue Finessing Pad

2 Cobra Indigo Edgeless Microfiber Polishing Cloths

and of course the PC 7424.

Thanks.

If I was you I would just get a UDM and order pads seperatly. Just my .02 cents though I think it will turn out to be a superb machine.

If you buy stuff individually and plan on getting a pc then check lowes. I bought one there last year for $99.

But yeah that udm is sounding pretty nice.

That's a pretty complete package. You "might" be able to pull something similar together through various retailers at a lower cost, but for the time, effort and shipping that would go into doing that, it may just be easier to by the package. I'd also check into the UDM. Since you don't already have a PC, it may be the better way to go now.

What kind of car will you be working on? The menzerna polishes for hard clearcoats seem to work for everyone with all types of paint, so while they're a bit more expensive I would get them anyway and be confident with in purchase. I'm talking about the super intensive polish and po106FF. I also think 4" pads are almost a necessity, so I would get them with the small backing plate at the same time too.

But yeah, get the UDM kit. You will be a lot happier.
