Is There Anything Wrong With Washing Everyday?

I could buy a car for what it costs to pave the driveway...

Its more of a road.

Just for clairfication...

Yes is don't wash everyday
No is "it's ok to wash everyday"
 
I supposed the answer depends on your washing method and choice of products. I will say that "Yes" there could be problems with washing every day. Some car wash shampoos can be harsh and will dry out trim and seals over time. Washing daily can accelerate this process. In addition, surface marring is often created during the washing and drying process. Every time you swipe a towel or mitt across the surface, you run the risk of inducing a swirl or scratch.

Some food for thought -
Consider using products known for attracting less dust. If the dust only seems to accumulate on the back portion of the car, then concentrate on daily maintenance of that particular section. Leave the more dust resistance sections alone for awhile. If you insist upon washing frequently, it will be essential to choose a gentle shampoo with high lubricity. You will also need high quality washing and drying implements.
 
I'd get a Calif Duster for taking off the daily dust, also some PB spray & wipe, for cleaning after and finish up with QD spray.

You have to go with Beemerboy, and get your hands on some PB S&W. You'll be kicking yourself for not having this sooner. It's a life saver.

You should be able to pick up a cali duster at walmart or any auto parts store, and there are several qds to choose from. Some can be purchased locally, others you would have to order.
 
For alot lese than paving have oil sprayed down. My dad use to do this every few years on our drive way when I was a kid. Cuts to dust down to nothing to speak of

what kind of oil sprayed down???? I like this idea !
 
Raise hell with da county or state officials tell them to pave it you pay taxes so why not
 
Another way to keep the dust down other than the oil is to have a layer of old broken road spread down on top and rolled w/ a steam roller. The old road tar will set with the heat and it works pretty well. We do that at my work in our parking lot. Works great.
