Is there a QD that leaves a deep, wet look ??

I have to agree with the others about using OCW as well. Just as easy to use as a QD and the look is phenomenal. Rivals any of the best LSPs on the market. I no longer bother with QDs or other waxes/sealants on my own car. Just apply OCW every couple of washes.

i'll have to give OCW another try (not a bad product by any means, but wasn't overly impressed with it), i find using fk425 or perhaps AW easier...

Not sure which version you have, but the current version of OCW is definitely more slick and has a richer look than the original.

Do you use Optimum Instant Detailer (I think that is what it is called) any more?

I use it (or Quikshine) on customer's cars every few washes to keep them looking freshly waxed.
 
Is a polymer type of wax spray, like the OCW, safe and effective if the car has a coat of carnauba wax as an LSP? Or is there a specific QD or Wax Spray that works well on top of carnauba?



I used to use Meguiars UQD but now looking into Souveran, Z6/Z8, and OCW.

OCW contains carnauba too. But don't confuse OCW with a QD. It's a far more substantial product; a standalone LSP.



Victoria Wax has a very nice QD which works perfect on carnauba finishes. Other than that, I always recommend OID, CK QS and 425.
 
Detailers aren't for looks they are for removing dust-spray waxes are for adding gloss and protection. Use the right product for what you want.
 
Last touch, UQD are the ones I use and if not used just right they streak. You can see where the paint got deeper and wetter looking.

while something like FK425 is used to remove fingerprints, dust, etc., it does add some gloss and a little (not much) protection, but i wouldn't use it as a spray wax. yes, using the right product for the task is more beneficial...

I agree, and I don't think anyone was saying that it was a replacement for a spray wax.



But he seemed to be saying that a QD does *not* add any gloss.
