Is there a product designed for light colored paints?

Mirror Images,

For Light colors I really like VM topped with EX-P, #16 or P21S/S100. For darker colors I like VM topped with EX or Souveran.

Cheers,

I agree with AMP01's product selection. :up The only products I would throw into the mix for light colors would be Pinnacle's Paste Glaz (though apparently they are discontinuing this wax) and Meguiar's #20.

~One manâ€â„¢s opinion / observations~

a) Pinnacle Souverän Wax- this is a low-solvent ivory Carnauba wax (making it an ideal LSP) that contains natural oils that provide a deep gloss, and a â€Ëœwet-lookâ€â„¢ to the paint film surface, it is highly UV resistant and ideal for Red, Black or Porsche Speed Yellow and dark vehicle colours to produce a deep â€Ëœwet-lookâ€â„¢ shine.

B )Pinnacle Signature Series Wax- is also a low-solvent Carnauba wax and polymer mix that is perfect for metallic painted surfaces and for light coloured vehicle paint, providing a clean bright shine..

~Hope this helps~

Pinnacle Souveran = dark colors

Pinnacle Paste Glaz = light colors (see bottom of my homepage for pics with PG)

Yes they are discontinuing Paste Glaz due to the success of Signature Series.

3M also makes 2 swirl removers that are meant for light and dark paints.

The Klasse Twins look nice on light colored paints.

My personal best results on light colored paints have come with Blackfire, especially with multiple layers. Besides being incredibly slick, you'll see light colored paints shimmering/reflecting extremely well. I worked on a neglected tan Taurus recently and after one application of BF polish by PC white pad and an application of BF AFPP by hand( preceeded by wash, clay, wash, etc.), the paint looked better than new.

As with every color, prep is the key to good results in the end. The best/most expensive LSP on the market will look like crap over a poorly prepped surface.
