Sorry if it's a stupid question. If I want to apply a second coat of sealant on a different day but don't want to do a complete wash, is there a waterless wash I can use that will be free of polymers and oils so the second coat can bond better with the first layer? I'm assuming that if the waterless wash has polymers and oils, the second layer of sealant will not bond as well. Is that assumption correct?
I use Klean Strip Prep All after polishing and before applying the first coat of sealant. I was told that if I use Prep All on the sealant before a second coat, it will remove the first coat of sealant.
I usually don't have more than a couple of hours to work on my vehicle so I do a portion at a time and don't always feel like doing a full wash before I work on a panel or two.
