i want to try the klasse and p21s combo for the "perfect shine" do i need to use the klasse sealant glaze? in davidb's perfect shine kit he dosent include the sealant glaze just klasse AIO and p21s.

how much more does the surface shine with klasse sg? is it even needed with a carbuana topper?

I use AIO and Souveran and it comes out wonderful. I prefer the Pinnacle PCL/Souveran combo just a tad but AIO/Souveran stays shiny a lot longer because the AIO holds up after the SOuveran is gone. I too was wondering about adding sealant glaze but I've read that it may even degrade the finish so I passed on it.

I've found SG does a really spectacular job of filling in swirls, giving you a better base for your topper. 2 layers minimum, gets even better after 6 or 8 layers!

I have to agree with BoxsterCharlie about SG setting up a great base for your topper. I'm also surprised how long the acrylic/polymer products last. So, if you have the time and patience I'd go for 4-6 coats of SG then your P21S. Just remember to apply thin coats and stay very close to the dry/cure time recommendations of 1-2hours/24 hours respectively. jimwh Klasse instructions in the Hall of Fame are a great place to start.

It doesn't last as long, but if you're going to keep up on your waxing then no you don't need it

pretty good for a single layer of polymer wax if you ask me

Copy and pasted from my post in another thread :p
One thing that may be missing from not using SG though, is the very very mild filling effect you get from it. Won't do much for visible swirls, but it works for very light and shallow microscratching, which could improve the overall look a bit kind of like a real glaze does. I don't know for sure though, since I've actually never studied AIO by itself too carefully.
I think the reason DavidB didn't include the SG in the Perfect Shine kit is the same reason why CMA also does not include SG. Some people get hazing from SG application, especially if they try to do everything back to back, and they are not confident that customers will use Klasse as carefully as Autopians do. Remember: DavidB sells to a lot of other non-Autopian customers too...
