As was said, lots of different opinions on the white pad that comes with the 7336 PC.
It is a polishing pad, similar to the yellow polishing pad you get from Meguiar's.
Mine has been used for Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover several times with no problem. Based on what I had read here I originally thought the pad that came with the PC would be worthless and self destruct in no time at all. That has sure not been the case.
The velcro system is handier, but the screw on pad isn't that difficult to change.
I do have the Meguiar's velcro backing plate and pads and when the white pad does get worn out, it will be replaced by another Meguiar's polishing pad.
One thing that helps many of us is describing the pad by its use, not by its color. Not all pad manufacturers use the same colors. so yellow, white, brown, red, beige, etc., doesn't tell anyone a lot about the pad in question. Cutting, polishing, finishing are much easier for me to understand.
