Is that mold? todays detail part 2-(56K warning)

EBPcivicsi

GOT PREP?
So this was my second attempt at detailing today. Same location as the other car, but just as bad perhaps. As far as I could tell, the interior has NEVER been detailed.

I vacuumed thoroughly, applied Costco APC 10:1 to carpets, and followed with the LGCM.

Vinyl was also cleaned with Costco APC 10:1, then dressed with meguiars #40.

The interior IMO was just about gone, but I did the best I could. Sorry for the bright light in some of the afters, the sun was directly in my face.

Anyone want to take a guess at to what the powdery substance is?????

The black spots are burns from smoking....

Again... Awesome! :bow :xyxthumbs

What is LGCM?

After you vacuum, do you spray the APC on the seats and carpeting and then agitate with a brush? How do you remove the APC from the carpet?

I love #40! I use it all the time. I put on full strength, let it sit and then buff down with a dry MF. Leaves a great look and has that new car type smell.

LGCM=Little green clean machine. What I typically do is spray the APC on the carpet and seats of the section I am working on, then scrub with brush. I allow it to sit for a few minutes while I do the next section. After I have done this to each section, I use the LGCM and HOT water to remove the APC from all surfaces. I just shoot the hot water into the fabric until there are no suds left. Does that make sense?

That is EXACTLY how I use #40!! Great look and you are right fresh scent too.

Thanks everyone!!!!

wow, they owe you big for that job!!!

After seeing how dirty that interior was I can only assume that powder was crack, b/c only a crackhead could drive around in that filth.

This is UNDOUBTFULLY some of the best interior work ive seen here on a while.... and i mean a while.

great work....:xyxthumbs

you did a great job with that. I think the white stuff is baking powder/soda to get a smell out of the carpet kinda like you put it in the frige. that or it was carpet freshener? or it just may be crack

I don't think I'll say what I suspect that white powdered substance to be.....

Maybe it was something that if sniffed would have allowed him to clean the interior in 10 minutes flat! :nervous2:

Nice work on the pig sty. ;) I hope you were properly compensated along with some hazard pay. :lol

If I was the owner of that car I'd be ASHAMED to have anyone see it much less ask someone to detail it in it's original condition! :shocked

You did an incredible job, I think I might've turned it down. Hope you used gloves and a facemask!:) And I hope the owner left you a healthy tip!;)

Wow amazing work. :bigups

I can't believe you had to work in those conditions. Hazard pay for you I hope.

Did you burn your clothes afterwards????

Great work!

How long did it take you to do just the carpets? On the center console it looks like some thing spilled down the passenger side it appears to be under the plastic. How did you get it out? That is probably the hardest part of an interior for me to get clean. Carpets really take me a long time to do. Great work.
