Is that fancy striping job included in that price?

On my way to a job this morning, I passed this Tahoe, and had to stop and get some pictures

WOW

its like they just moved a polisher over it. and didnt bother removing the polish.

thats just sad.

Dear Lord.....

Why would they even have "buffed" that in the first place? Thankfully most dealers around here don't attempt to buff new cars, they just use a nice glaze to cover the wash swirls. Better than wash marring + holograms I guess...

um...wow! You should have walked up in to that dealer, walked all of their salesmen out there...owner if hes there, and said...ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! Then tell them they shouldn't be in business...thats like selling toys with lead in them...its just wrong!

They were closed. I figured after this thread gets a few responses (like yours), I'll email the link to that dealer's GM.

There is no way anyone will buy that thing at any price like that. It's so horrid it would scare anyone right off.

They need to man up and drop a few bills and get it properly corrected and it will be the FIRST Tahoe they sell.

unfortunetly thats the quality of most dealerships detailers....

my feelings on this are that these dealerships keep working on smaller and smaller profit margins to beat the next dealer out by $100.00 on a deal..... we ourselves in our never ending pursuit of the lowest car price possible have created this....if dealers all just charged the same price and that price was reasonable allowing them to make a few bucks on it then maybe they could afford to hire better qualified Deatilers....i have some family and friends in the dealership business and this although sad is true....

for 10 years i worked as a new boat prep guy/tech in a high end boat dealership....this dealer did not beat everyone elses price just to sell a boat...instead he expleained what we did that made us more valueable and let our reputation speak volumes....i was allowed to basically do whatever it took to make sure the boat was RIGHT before it was delivered......unfortunetly most other dealers did and do not think this way....

What's funny is that 90% of the people out there; 1 - won't care or 2 - wouldn't even realize they are driving a "swirled orgy Tahoe."

* Credit giving to the gentleman that came up with Swirl Orgy. *

Oh my god, that is horrible, and people think that new cars don't need detailing. That dealer can't be serious about selling that thing. It would be a good bargaining chip though for someone who could buy it then correct it themselves.

hey its shiney look at all the shine coming off of it

80% of people wont notice, the other 20% will throw up in their mouth a little bit

Where is that truck? I want to buy it, only detail half of it and show my customers what I can do! haha! Now thats called a rolling billboard!

It's a shame. Dealers are better off not even touching then at all. They should have a TSB on it. DO NOT BUFF CARS! I do not know what's worst, the deep swirls from a dirty sandy wool pad or the silicone damaging polishes/wax they use?

I had a customer with a 08 black CTS that was seriously hammered by the dealer (10 times worst than this) and whatever they used embedded deeply into the paint making the swirls look blue. It took 40 hours to remove it from the paint and polish it out. I feel bad that the customer got stuck with that huge bill and not the dealer.

Best advice ever.

I always chuckle when I see holograms like this. It's looks like they gave an 8 year old with ADHD a buffer with a wool pad and said go to work.
