Is regular carpet cleaners good for automotive carpets?

Is carpet cleaners, e.g. Woolite's High Traffic carpet cleaner and Resolve's High Traffic carpet cleaner good choices for cars?

automotive carpets by nature are more durable and stain resistant than household ones.



I don't see why not, but make sure to follow the manufacturers instructions.

lots of ppl. use bissel green machine with great results. assuming the motor is strong enough to vacuum out the water, it should be A-OK!

I dont have any evidence to back this up but ill through it out there...I had my in home carpets professionally cleaned and he said never to use resolve on stains...it can set the stain and is very hard to get out after using that product. I have no idea how true this is but I really dont want to find out, but I thought I would share the info.

yes household carpet cleaner works fine, Infact I have never even really seen a "automotive" carpet cleaner.

There's plenty marketed towards auto carpets. Makers include:

TW, Mother's, Prestone, etc ...

Do a search for "Folex", which is a household carpet cleaner too.
