I'm gonna do the following:

Re-Clay the Cobra

Megs #9 With PC

Z5

Z2

.....then I want to top it

I can't find PS21S locally....but you can get S100 from any Harley dealer.

Are the 2 the same?

No they aren't. I have a source over at P21S who told me they will have changed the formulation of P21S to include some new super emulsification polymers. They need to justify the price difference over S100 by offerring more oomph to the customer. Apparently ever since autopia started many of these liitle 'secrects' (s100 and p21s being the same) have cost manufacturers $$$.

Opss didn't know that .. mind you I don't use either. Sorry.

So they've changed P21S?

Ok. That's fine with me! Just as long as they don't change my $15 super carnuaba (S100)

If anyone is ever able to tell a physical difference, please let me know.... ;)

I had a bottle of both in my hand about 3 weeks ago and they looked identical. Anyone know the true change? I noticed some s100 bottles were yellowish and some where white like the p21s but I assumed that the difference may of just been w/ different seasons of plant material they were using.

LOL!! Sorry guys. I thought it was plainly obvious that I was talking out of my a$$ in this post. I'm only kidding. I thought the 'super emulsification polymers' would be a giveaway. I thought I'd try and liven things up since this question get's asked so much.

For real though; P21s and S100 are the same in terms of look and performance. I believe the only differences are irrelevant things like smell and colour.

Bill. :D

I too was informed by a reliable source that P21S and S100 is not the same.

I'm confused now but I trust Ranney's word unless he is joking as well.

Ranney, is this true? Are the formulas different?

I thought "super emulsification polymers" was an unusal concept. Not being a chemist, I took the bait! :bow Plus, I've been away from autopia for awhile.

So, the word is that P21S an S100 are STILL the same?

they use to be the exact same years ago(I was e mail by them)but they changed there formula.there is a difference SO SLIGHT it doesn't warrent the $15 difference.

To all those complaining about the additional cost of ps21s, why don't you just buy Meguiars #16. In a side by side comparison they applied the same, buffed off the same and looked the same. The #16 is $15.00.

Lol! Sorry about that. Yeah, as Alan said, they are pretty much the same. Continue enjoying S100!

Nope #16 and P21s don't apply the same OR buff off the same OR look the same.

Two very different products with P21s being a more boutique wax with emphasis on high reflectivity while #16 is a heavy wax with great durability.

Actually you're very wrong. I applied them right next to Mike Phillips at Meguiars and we asked people if they could tell the difference. They couldn't. Have you ever done any tests like this before making your claims?

Randy,

Can one be "very wrong" about something so subjective?

I've used both products extensively and I can't agree with your assessment that both products are very similar in terms of ease of applying, buffing, and appearance.
