Is one waffleweave towel enough?

I'm going to order my first set of microfiber towels pretty soon. I am planning on getting the "Excel Supreme Kit" from Excel Detail. It has 7 of their polishing towels, a sheepskin wash mitt that I really don't need, and one waffleweave towel for $30.

The waffleweave is 32"x24" and has these corner pockets on them to hold on to I guess. Is one waffleweave towel going to be enough to dry a Ford Taurus? Or should I add an extra waffleweave towel to my order? I was planning on getting a few more of their MF towels as well anyway.. I'm just not sure if I should get another waffleweave towel too

I'd get the extra one. I seem to use a lot of them, and even if you don't really *need* more than one, [stuff] happens- you might get some nasty dirt on it or even drop it. Having an extra is good insurance, and it might be good to have a dry one for the drips, etc. that always occur *after* you're finished drying.

It usually takes me 2 per vehicle unless I use a blower to get rid of most of the water before towel drying.

I don't care how big of a car you dry 1 towel IS enough. Do order 2 though. Sometime you may not want to do laundry right away and it comes handy to have a clean one. m2c

ONE WW towel that size is enough to dry a SUV but wouldn't you want another one? if you don't have the money that's OK but when you do get another you can never have enough MF towels

I own about 8, but I only use 1 at a time, but never find it completely dries my black car - nothing an MF and QD can't handle though. I don't like the idea dragging a dry one over to get the last spots.

I have only one but I pre dry with a MF drying towel from JT International .. its 24 x 24 ( $4 ) and I just drag it over the car held by the opposing corners and this pulls off most the water. I then follow with the WW.

GoleafsGo,

Definitely get at least 2.

1 can usually do a vehicle if you squeeze it out a bit but it's nice to have the extra on hand just in case.

I think I have 5 now from JTInter (Ebay) and I'm very very happy with them. They do an excellent job. Waffleweaves are awesome.

If you end up ordering from them, let me know. I'd like to get some Vanilla Moose and we can split on shipment. :xyxthumbs

I am placing an order with him as I "speak"

Go, what I like to do is obviously use the sheeting method when rinsing first of all, then hold one 24x30 or 24x32 in the one hand, and a 16x16 plush in the other. I find this to be my most practical method.....bare hands never touch the surface, and if I should drag a water bead, the 16x16 follows up......

I never look on e-bay for him I just e-mail him too .. ask for the 24 x 24 blue/green MF drying towels .. bout $4 each.

You can't go wrong with the Pakshak WW's. I don't know how I lived without them. I can usually use one to dry my Ford F150 after using a leaf blower and sheeting off the water.

Follow up with a 16 x 16 MF for any small drips.....:up

I'll get two WW towels then. Maybe a few.. I'm not sure yet.

I also use the free flowing water rinse before I dry, that helps a lot. But I've been using cotton terry towels for a while now. I'm looking forward to using a waffleweave towel instead

I guess I missunderstood the person - I thought he was getting VM from him as well. Thanks
