Is mothers 3 step better then megs??

I have used this for years, and Gliptone describes it as clearcoat safe, but I'd say that it is borderline of a mild polish. I've used Sonus Paintwork cleanser, and I'd still say Gliptone may even be more active than that.

I once had mild oxidation occur on a good clearcoat black paint, and the Gliptone made short work of it. Gliptone at one point included this with their own 3-step product. It will take out swirls, light streaks, and most stains and dirt from your paint.

I highly recommend it. I do not believe that it is abrasive, but it is an excellent paint cleaner.

No Mothers pre-wax users?

Alfisti (our top mothers guru) already answered the questions. Yes, for really bad paint you will need something stronger, but for a yearly cleanup with the paint in average shape it works great.

PowerPolish should be widely available OTC by now...at least, its meant to be. You can also get it online.

It can replace pre-wax cleaner and a several other polishes. Its like pre-wax cleaner on steroids, but still safe.

It can do serious defect removal (similar to #83) with a cutting pad, or just clean and restore gloss using a light polishing pad. Just make sure you work it in well, and then some.

one last question k,

Between Megs ColorX and Scratchx, which one is stronger (i.e. More effective by hand use) or are they the same?
