Is Meguiars the only company that uses non-diminishing abrasives?

I Klassed on October 1st and now I want to apply another coat of SG. The car has minimal dust. Can I just use a "Ultimate" (miracle towel TACS version) towel, and wet it to wipe down the dust and some water spots from the rain on the side panels before I SG? I don't feel that car is that dirty that I need to wash it before I SG again. Comments and suggestions please. :)

Since you said it rained, there may be dirt or oil film that you may not see that the SG may seal in or prevent the SG from bonding. If it hadn't rained during the time you wanted to apply more SG your idea would probably be okay.

I'd say wash it. Go buy a $10 30x magnifying glass and take a look at the paint and I'd bet you see enough stuff to make you want to wash the car.

Better safe than sorry when applying stuff to the surface of the car.

Harley! :cornut:

I googled it too, and only came up with Meguiars. I think you're right, but lets see what others say.

The first company I heard of using non-diminishing abrasives, at least used in the modern sense, was Mark V polishes. The second was System One. Meguiar's M86 (So1o Cut and Polish Cream) was the third. I know in addition to these three brands, 3D Car Care also offers non-diminishing abrasives with their HD line (HD UNO). There may be more, but non that I am familiar with.
