is last touch ok with klasse sealant glaze

Holy crap no! That LT is some oily stuff. It's not body shop safe, which should be the tip-off that you don't want it between SG layers.

out of intrest , if i went ahead and applied sealant glaze over some kind of oily/carnuaba qd , how would i know if it bonded or not??

what im getting it is, its not like anything would flake off and notice....i guess i would just find out xx weeks down the road when its not performing

I dunno the answer to that, judging longevity/bonding is an art rather than a science. Some people contend you can't even layer SG, some swear you can. The best advice is to apply LSP as often as you can, one of the spray sealants really seems to be the way to go after every other or every wash.

A big affirmative on what Setec said. LT does have an oily feel which is not necessarily a negative or positive quality in regards to performance but it's a definite no-no for SG. I actually tested this scenario awhile ago (LT w/ SG) and found that SG practically washed off with my weekly wash - water was virtually pooling on car.

I think the best thing you can do is search if the QD contains carnauba or silicone - I want to emphasize that having one of these ingredients does not constitute a bad thing...it's just that they are not usually condusive to having sealants applied over them. The only products that I have researched extensively that are compatible with the majority of sealants are Meguiar's Final Inspection and Eagle One's Wet, Wipe, & Shine - I use these with SG without any problems. Of course there's probably many more choices out there...

Going down a different but related path...you could technically use any QD you want as long as you wash your car before you apply another layer of sealant. I find that washing the paint surface will remove the minute QD "residue" that is left behind.

Hope that helps...MCA
