Is it worth it

if your clientel is very high end vehicles, your plan might work. your average customer will not spend an extra $100.00 for a coat of wax. 7tcbody is correct, if sold to the wrong person. you will get a reputation of being a scammer. make sure you have a display explaining and showing the different zymol choices this way they can't be confused and you don't get an angry phone call.

Although I've just gotten here, I'll have to go out on a limb on this one. I have tried many waxes and synthetics. Despite Zymol's cost, all things being equal, IMO it will be very difficult to surpass the live in-person results that a Zymol is capable of producing.

I am an avid user of Concours and now Vintage, and in addition I also use P21s on my daily driver. I admire different lsp's for their abilities and types of use. For everyday durability while maintaining the high finish results that carnaubas are known for, P21s is an excellent product that produces a lasting result.

However, if price is not an object, and if you demand show-stopping results (with the right preparation), then IMO I have yet to see a wax that could out render a Zymol Estate Wax. Zymol's talents do not necessarily lie in its shine power. Zymol's most distinguishing aspects are its ability to render paint color, and its ultra sharp paint depth, clarity and reflective abilities (aspects that are not readily seen in lsps). You can sometimes tell with good digital pics (but not pictures alone...must be paired with live sampling against other lsps) how far away objects get reproduced clearly in a zymol estate's finish vs. some other lsps. The ultimate test, however, must come from an individual's unbiased test. Don't necessarily rely on heresay because test conditions, paint, and individual judgment sometimes will cloud an objective comparison.

The prices that Zymol asks for, however, are insane. It is ridiculous to try to justify the price to most users. But if you are just judging by ability alone, and given all prep and conditions are equal, then Zymol is IMO among the best waxes available.

More..

To get the best results from Zymol, I would not recommend topping it with other waxes. If you put zymol on top of another wax, or vice versa, you will hinder its reflective range, and you won't see its full ability because it will only render the surface underneath it, instead of the pure paint. I would even say that I wouldn't put a sealant underneath a zymol (although sealants are popular to use with carnaubas). You could, if someone insists, try putting a very light non carnauba glaze or an extremely light sealant as a paint smoother. Zymol's Estate Glazes are very potent, thus they will require very little or no assistance from other products. The key will lie in how well the paint's condition will be from proper prep.
