Is it safe to wring out MF cloths?

I've had this question floating around in the back of my mind for a while, but keep forgetting to ask about it:

Is it safe to wring out your MFs like the way you do with everyday dishcloths and such? I've always been too scared to try this out of fear of tearing, stretching, weaken, etc. the MF fibers. I've always just given my towels a mild twist, then squeeze them as well as I could. This doesn't work as well as a hard wringing of course....

I know I'm probably being over-cautious, but can someone relieve my fear of hurting my precious MFs? Thanks. :p

You could always just try labeling one mf for that purpose with a marker or something.. use it like you normally would, except you would wring it when you want it dry. check back with it after a few months in comparison to see how it compares to the others.

:)

Don't worry about it Brian. I have been doing this to my MF's for a year, and none of them are worse for wear because of it. I hand wash all of mine in warm water, and then wring them as dry as I can before I hang them to dry. Never had a problem.

I use a MF to dry down my car after a wash, and I've been wringing them very strong to get the water out. Haven't had a problem.

Lynn, come and smite this guy for flagrant thread bumping!!!

(And for blowing the whistle on the seedy underbelly of Autopia moderating too) :D

Ok. That's it. Jngr, you're banned for life! j/k The heavy hand of Autopia descends. :D

4DSC, I wring the heck outta my MFs. No problems, after 9 months now. (Yikes! 9 months! They're all mother MFs now. :D )
