Is HD speed milder than HD polish?

In the Autopia polish chart they have HD speed as a 2 where as HD polish is a 4. I am assuming that type of pad is a factor. So if I am not doing a HD Poxy session on my car can I use HD speed once a month when I notice a few swirls and scratches instead of only HD Express as the LSP?

HD Speed is 75% HD Polish and 25% HD Poxy. I wouldn't polish my car every month, your car only has so much paint to remove.

HD Poxy is a sealant and monton wax. I thought HD Speed only had the wax part?
