Invica-shield when you are a detailing nut

I have a midnight blue metallic Porsche 911 (993) Cabriolet. Brand new Euro Turbo/S bumper (no bumperettes) and clear turn indicators...looks really nice.

About a week after I had it, someone nicked it...I got lucky because the shop had to make a repair anyway from a mistake they made, so I got it repainted at no cost. :xyxthumbs HOwever, it got me thinking...probably will happen again, plus those dreaded rock chips. :angry

So I'm thinking of putting on the Invica-shield (http://www.invinca-shield.com/main.htm) No affiliation, but I'm a detailing hound (well, not compared to some of you guys, but my neighbors think I'm nuts :nixweiss)...so I'm worried about having to strip down my (currently) 14 coats of zaino to put it on, plus concerned about not being able to shine it up as much as I want :scared.

Has anyone used this stuff, and if so, can you still keep the shine? Do you have to take Z off, or can you leave it underneath?

Help! Stuck.

You can Zaino on top of it.

You don't have to remove any Zaino you got now, installer will do it for you :D , seriously, they use alcohol and water solution during application and this very likely remove your Zaino.

I think it's good to have it if you can stand the look of your hood with it or you can just do a bumper. I will probably do it myself as soon as I get M-technik kit. The dowside is that you'll still get chips on parts that are not protected, I just got my first in the middle of the fender :angry .

All waxes and sealants must be stripped off before the 3M scotchcal film (which InvinciShield is made from) can be applied.

I have the film applied to my Carrera pictured. As mentioned, you can apply Zaino to it as I have here:

Email me if you have any questions.
