Interview with Klasse USA

I am just using this product for the first time this year and frankly I find it to be a pain in the ***. I don't mind the AIO but the SG..... Wow! After doing some searching I found this which explains to me some of the problems that I am seeing. There is a lot of speculation on how the process works so the link should clear things up nicely I think.

Enjoy

There's a whole thread on this somewhere...If you want to pronounce it the German way (my choice) it's "clahss-eh". Think Schwarzenegger saying it and put the "eh"/"uh" on the end.

I usually say eh...uh...Schwartzenegger .

Product worthiness=ease of use+frequency (Desire to use)

My SG was given to another detailer......

What turned me off originally was the removal of the product but I think I may have over applied. Its difficult to apply something that thin and feel you have ample coverage. I'm going to try again as per the instructions form the link in my original post. I am willing to suffer if the product produces good results.

I used to say classy but after Bence's tutorial I have converted! AIO is a breeze to use but SG can be difficult if applied too thick. Good one Paul, thanks for the laugh!

I've always heard great things about the Klasse twins. What turned you off of SG?

3 attempts to meet my level of satisfaction was ruined with ill attempts of removal. Application 1 may have been a little thick, so app 2 was thin. Still difficult to remove. App 3 was even thinner, and just as difficult to remove. You would think with 2 "layers" of SG, layer 3 would have been easier to remove.

This was all done after a polishing ritual too, so prep work was above par. To top it all off I wasnt overly impressed with appearance. AIO is a good cleaner, but I rarely need a cleaner these days anyway. I'll normally use a light grade abrasive polish prior to sealing.

Klasse duo just isnt my cup of tea......

Great products but I feel Werkstatt (basically an updated nanotech version) is even better. No matter what products you use though, AIO is pretty much a mandatory product to have.

If you apply SG very thinly and remove quickly, it is pretty easy to use.

.. Schwarzenegger is spelled without a "t"...

OOPS :o Guess I spelled it phonetically (at least I remembered how to say my German "z"s ). Heh heh, it sure jumps out at me when I look at it this morning, better go edit that...

While I go on and on about how easy SG is if you apply thin, I agree that with all the great products out there it doesn't pay to struggle with something that doesn't work for you. And yeah, the look isn't for everyone. While I use it on the minivan, it's one of the few products I was so unhappy with (looks-wise) on an Audi that I removed it and applied something else; that's something I hardly ever bother doing.
